Dr. Surya Irakam
Surya P. Irakam attended medical school at Sir Venkateswara Medical College in India. Dr. Irakam is board certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. Dr. Irakam has been appointed Chief of Medicine at Robert Wood Johnson @ Somerset. He also serves as President of Gastromed Healthcare, PA
Kiran Kothari
Kiran (Perry) Kothari joined IAGSC as a volunteer in 1989. Currently a member of the board of trustees, he has been on the management team since 1991. It has been his pleasure and honor to serve the Indian community and be an integral part of many initiatives that helped promote Indian culture. Kiran manages a family owned real estate investment company and is active in many nonprofit organizations.

Gaurav Jain
Gaurav Jain has been living in New Jersey since last 8 years and has been an active member at IAGSC since 2019. He is a Pharmaceutical executive by profession and enjoys his free time with family and outdoor activities like biking, running and Golf. Gaurav has been an active contributor to IAGSC activities and looks forward to continuing support for all future cultural and community events by IAGSC.
Meena Arvind
Meena Arvind has been a resident of NJ for the last 8 years and have played an active role in IAGSC Executive board for as many years. IAGSC provides an amazing platform to volunteer and serve the community that she is so glad to be a part of. In addition to IAGSC, She is connected with community at large as a teacher in the Bridgewater school district, a volunteer teacher at Chinmaya mission, an active member of multiple PTOs (Parent Teacher Organizations) to name a few.
She loves to spend time with her family going on hike, nature walks etc. to fulfill my passion for fitness and a healthy lifestyle.
Mita Patel
Mita Patel is graduated with a bachelor of commerce from Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, India. She is a certified yoga teacher and she like to paint, make pottery, practice yoga, and travel. She is looking forward to connecting with and serving with our Indian culture and community.
Mita have been living in Somerset County for the past 20 years. She and her family have been participating IAGSC’s cultural events every year and that inspired her to become a lifetime member, and now an active volunteer on the committee
Bhupendra Puri
Bhupendra Puri has worked at Johnson & Johnson an IT Professional for over 20 years and he also have had several different Business from a Sears Franchise, Sears Garage Door Business to a Blimpie etc. He enjoy many things, like Photography, Motorcycle riding and Travel.
Being very enthusiastic to serve the community and love to connect with people, this is what allows him to give back to the community. He has been a resident of Flemington NJ since 1984.
Utkarsh Desai
It’s been a pleasure & pride to serve Indian diaspora for almost 25 years soon in various roles & capacities – as the President for 6 years, VP for 3 years, Treasure & Jt. Treasurer for many years! Significant contributions & accomplishments include, but aren’t limited to, leading IAGSC to a true 501c Non-Profit organization & taking IAGSC Green (automation) while serving as the President.
